Irene Hoek has been appointed as head of global
development at Dorchester Collection.
Having worked in hotel development for the
past 15 years, Hoek joins Dorchester Collection from IHG based in
London, where she held the position of vice president development,
overseeing strategic investment and management opportunities for
the InterContinental brand.
Previous positions include vice
president development at IHG’s North America headquarters in
Atlanta, Georgia, responsible for branded residential development,
and vice president development at Starwood’s North America headquarters in New York, responsible for growth of the St Regis
brand.
Prior to that, she was director of development for Europe,
Africa and Middle East for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and senior associate at BNY Capital Markets Inc, focused on mergers and
acquisitions.
Irene has a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Finance from Georgia State University and a Master of Business
Administration from The Wharton School, University of
Pennsylvania.
