Garuda Indonesia will next month increase
flights from Singapore to Bali and Surabaya.
The airline currently operates a daily and four
times weekly service on its Singapore - Bali route and a four
times weekly service from Singapore to Surabaya.
Effective 27 October, Garuda will increase
flights on its Singapore - Bali route to a double daily, and will
also begin operating daily flights between Singapore and Surabaya,
Indonesia’s second largest city.
“Indonesia is an important regional business and
leisure hub and passenger traffic to the country continues to
grow. There is a lot of potential to connect Singapore with more
Indonesian destinations and it is a natural step for Garuda as the
national flag carrier to meet this strong demand,” said Nicodemus
Lampe, Vice President, Area Asia, Garuda Indonesia. “With the
newly added flights, we hope to provide our passengers greater
convenience and flexibility when planning their trips.”
With the added frequency to Bali and Surabaya,
Garuda will be operating over 90 weekly flights from Singapore to
four Indonesian destinations namely Bali, Jakarta, Balikpapan and
Surabaya.
The new flights will operate using the airline’s
Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, which features the Garuda
Indonesia’s ‘Nature’s Wing’ livery, signature interior and
upgraded on-board services.
To celebrate the introduction of these increased
frequencies, Garuda is running a sale on flights to both holiday
hotspots, plus attractive fares to the Indonesian capital Jakarta
from now till 30 September. Valid for travel till 20 December, return flights will be on sale
to Bali from just S$288, to Surabaya for S$258 and S$318 to
Jakarta.
