Fundraising efforts from corporate clients, Standard Chartered staff, and general public in the Hong Kong community saw the 2013 Marathon Charity Programme collectively raise over HK$ 6.6 million for its three designated charities: Standard Chartered's global fundraising initiative "Seeing is Believing - ORBIS", the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled, and the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.

This year, a record-breaking number of over 2,000 runners created fundraising pages through the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon Charity Programme, raising over HK$ 2 million in total.

Father and son duo Eric and Ezmond Cheung were the top fundraisers, between them raising more than HK$ 500K of which over HK$ 300K from the online portal alone. Motivated by the memory of Eric's wife who lost her struggle against cancer, the two took part in the 10km race and together set up a fundraising page to raise money for the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society in support of other families battling with cancer.
