The Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan has
appointed Kanit Sangmookda as General Manager.
Hailing from Thailand, Kanit has over 13
years of work experience in the hospitality industry out of which
5 years have been with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Kanit is
a seasoned hotelier and has gained most of his hospitality
experience in Bangkok.
Having risen from the ranks of Reservation
Sales Agent at JW Marriott Bangkok to Director of Revenue
Management at Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa, Kanit moved to
Malaysia in 2008 to join the Starwood Hotels & Resorts family as
Director of Revenue Management at The Westin Kuala Lumpur.
Kanit was later promoted to Regional Director of Revenue
Management for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in South East Asia, prior
to attaining his present position.
Apart from a Bachelors
of Business Administration, majoring in Hotel Management with a
minor in Advertising Management from Assumption University in
Thailand, Kanit is also a Masters graduate in International
Business from the University of Wollongong, Australia.
Kanits career has been enhanced by his teaching
experience at the Assumption University, where he lectured in the
Hotel Sales & Marketing faculty.
