Anantara has expanded its portfolio of hotels in
the Middle East with the opening of the Anantara Dubai The Palm
Resort & Spa.
This new resort joins the four existing Anantara
properties in Abu Dhabi and a further two will be added to the
portfolio in the region by early 2014, including the first
property in Qatar, which represents a new country of operation for
the group.
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotel Group,
Anantara’s owning company, said, “We are very excited to open
our first Anantara in Dubai, a key strategic location for the
brand. This is the fourth addition to Anantara’s portfolio so far
this year, with a further three properties to be added before the
end of the year, including in two new countries, Cambodia and
Mozambique. We are especially excited about our continued
expansion in the Middle East region, which is a key area of focus
both for Anantara and other brands within Minor Hotel Group.”
Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa is
positioned on the eastern crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah,
just a 45-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, with a wide range
of exciting attractions nearby.
Set amidst lush
landscaping and carefully designed to maximise privacy, 293
luxurious guest rooms, suites and pool villas are characterised by
Asian inspired luxury, tasteful furnishings and spectacular views
of the lagoons or the Palm.
The choice of private
villas includes Beach Pool Villas, each with a personal infinity
pool, and families and friends travelling together will find that
the Anantara Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villas provide the epitome of
luxury, space and style.
In addition the resort offers Over Water Villas with most featuring glass viewing
panels revealing underwater glimpses of the Persian Gulf.
Lazy days can be enjoyed on Anantara’s 400 metre long private
beach, as well as at three winding lagoon pools and a 50-metre
shoreline infinity pool which looks out across the Palm.
Making
the most of the exotic climate, a variety of water sports includes
kayaking, wake boarding and paddle boarding, as well as diving and snorkelling adventures.
Two well-equipped gyms and two tennis
courts extend the choice of energising leisure pursuits. A
teens club, Chill and Tuk Tuk Kids Club keep younger guests
happily entertained.
The resort incorporates a
number of Thai touches. Floating market-style boats glide across
the lagoons serving cocktails and other refreshing beverages,
whilst three wheeler tuk-tuks transport guests around the resort.
Infusing local culture, the resort lobby features a Dubai heritage
corner, which showcases various indigenous artifacts and replicas
of times gone by. Guests can soak up countless fascinating
insights into the history of Dubai, such as its early
pearl-diving heritage.
Six restaurants and bars serve a
riveting diversity of culinary experiences. Crescendo, the all-day
dining restaurant, serves a variety of international cuisine. The
Asian themed specialty restaurant, Mekong, promises to take diners on a
mouthwatering journey. The Beach House expresses the rich
simplicity of Mediterranean flavours in a breezy shoreline
setting. Bushman’s Australian Grill showcases the art of succulent
flame grilled delights. Lotus Lounge in the lobby serves afternoon
tea by day and cocktails at sunset. The Pool Bar refreshes guests
with an enticing beverage and snack menu in shady poolside bliss
and at the swim-up bar. For the ultimate in tailored romance, Anantara’s signature Dining by Design concept includes a choice of
fine dining menus, intimate settings and a private chef.
The Anantara Spa offers the perfect escape with
distinctive pampering, beauty and wellness journeys from 16
luxurious treatment suites.
