SAS and Star Alliance partner Turkish Airlines
have entered into a codeshare agreement.
SAS customers can now book Turkish Airlines
operated flights with a SK flight code from Copenhagen, Oslo,
Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Aalborg and Billund to Istanbul
and further on to Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir.
In addition, Turkish Airlines will add its code
to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia and Finland.
"We are very pleased to announce this codeshare
agreement with Turkish Airlines. Both tourism and trade between Scandinavia and Turkey have increased with double digit figures
the last years, and we are happy to be able to offer our customers
flights to six destinations in Turkey," said Joakim Landholm, EVP
Commercial at SAS.
SAS customers will also be able to earn
EuroBonus-points on all Turkish Airlines flights since both
airlines are partners within Star Alliance.
Turkish
Airlines operates three daily flights to Copenhagen and Stockholm,
twelve weekly flights to Oslo and Helsinki, ten weekly flights to
Gothenburg and three weekly flights to Aalborg/Billund, a total of
almost 80 weekly flights between Istanbul and Scandinavia/Finland.
