Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge Partners Josef Chromy Wines for Gourmet Event

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is inviting food and wine lovers to not only sample local produce at the source, but to soak up the local knowledge as well at ‘The Winemaker, The Local Grower and You’ gourmet event on 13 September 2013.

Hosted by the expert winemakers from pre-eminent Tasmanian winery Josef Chromy Wines and matched to fine local cuisine prepared by the Highland Restaurant team led by Chef Jee Whan Lee, the event promises a celebration of the finest Tasmanian gourmet faire whilst being immersed in the pristine wilderness of the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.

“Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge has forged some great relationships with the diverse array of food and wine producers in the region and we are looking forward to showcasing Josef Chromy wines with the excellent food that our Highland team creates,” said Leigh Reid, General Manager Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge.

The event is part of the Peppers Gourmet Food Trail program – a feast of events, packages and offerings that celebrate regional food and wine at over 20 Peppers retreats and resorts across Australia’s east coast and in New Zealand.

An event package is on offer which includes the five-course dinner with matched Josef Chromy wines; one night’s accommodation in a Pencil Pine Cabin; welcome chocolate plate and breakfast for two people from $499 per couple.

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is set at the entrance to the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and is just over an hour’s drive from Devonport or two hours from Launceston. The retreat is one of Australia’s most iconic wilderness experiences.
