Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island Names New GM

AEG Ogden has appointed Malu Barrios as General Manager of the Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island.

The Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island will open for the 2014 exhibition season, offering 25,000 square metres of fully enclosed space.

It will house Sydney’s major public exhibitions and trade shows during the development of the new 20 hectare international convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct at Darling Harbour.

Prior to her new appointment, Barrios oversaw the opening of the Darwin Convention Centre and before that was General Manager of Sydney Showground.

AEG Ogden is part of the Darling Harbour Live consortium, which is working with the New South Wales government to develop the new convention, exhibition and entertainment facilities at Darling Harbour.

AEG Ogden will also operate the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney, due for completion in December 2016.
