Cardiff, Wales has been appointed by ICC as a
host venue for 2013’s ICC Champions Trophy competition in England
and Wales.
The ICC Champions Trophy will take place from 6
– 23 June 2013 at Cardiff Wales Stadium in Wales and at two venues
in England.
There will be five games in Cardiff, including
the championship’s opening game taking place on 6 June with India
playing South Africa, and a Semi Final on Thursday, 20 June.
This year also marks the 40th anniversary of
international cricket in Wales. The first game was England v New
Zealand in 1973 played at St Helen’s, Swansea, with England
winning. England remain unbeaten in Wales.
Tickets for under 16s start from £5, under 21
tickets from £10, and adult tickets from £20 in the family stand.
