With the recent maintenance approval of its
Falcon 900 EASy series, Dassault Falcon Aircraft Services-China
now has maintenance approval for all current production Falcon
models by China’s airworthiness authority, the CAAC, under one
Chinese Approved Maintenance Organization.
Dassault Falcon Aircraft Services-China is
a partnership between Shanghai Hawker Pacific and Dassault Falcon.
“By working vigorously with our partners in the region and the
local government, Dassault Falcon has continually elevated our
customer support capabilities in China – a country that is
enthusiastically embracing business aviation,” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. “With this
recent approval, we can now provide a level of support that is
truly unparalleled by any other business jet manufacturer.”
The
models with CAAC Part 145 maintenance approval are the 900 EASy
series, 2000 EASy series and the Falcon 7X. The approval allows
service centers to perform maintenance activities and return an
aircraft to service, a great advantage for operators based in the
country, as well as those visiting the area.
In 2012, Dassault
launched Dassault Falcon Aircraft Services – China. The
specialized unit is a dedicated support program with Shanghai
Hawker Pacific and is staffed by a team of technicians with more
than 10 years of Falcon business jet maintenance experience. The
program recently added another full time technician and has plans
for further expansion.
In addition to Falcon model approvals,
Shanghai Hawker Pacific has recently received regulatory approval
from the FAA as a Foreign Repair Stations and also has
capabilities to return EASA-registered aircraft to service. The
facility also has approvals from the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.
In addition, it has a new FAA approved battery shop, the first
such facility to have Falcon specific battery support in the
country.
The 4,000 sq. m. facility supports maintenance, repair
and overhaul (MRO) activities and has fixed-base operation (FBO) capabilities for transient aircraft that need catering, fuel or
supplies including Customs and Immigration clearance onsite. It maintains over
US$800,000 in Falcon specific tooling and
ground servicing equipment.
