The four-month old Tune Hotel Haymarket,
Edinburgh, has been named the New Hotel of the Year in Scotland by
the Scottish Hotel Awards 2013.
Group CEO Mark Lankester, said, “To win in the
New Hotel of the Year category is totally unpredicted. The award
actually raised the bar for our hotels and goes to prove that we
have been doing the right thing in providing international
standard, high quality accommodation at very affordable prices. We
are not only leading in the budget or value category but in fact
comparable to the other starred hotels. The key differentiation is
in our pricing and giving our guests the best value for their
money that has always been our promise.”
Celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, the
Scottish Hotel Awards are an independent event and organised by a
professional team whose members have chaired and developed the
process and event since 2003. Nominations came from a variety of
sources including from the team of reviewers and judging experts,
consumers, chefs, hoteliers and other industry contacts.
The Scottish Hotel Awards are thorough in its
process with every single nominated hotel visited and stayed at
while every individual nominee was met or interviewed. The
organisers also carried out their own research and benchmarking to
ensure only the best hotels win.
Tune Hotel Haymarket in Edinburgh, Scotland is
the first of its UK hotels to be located outside London, where the group has
