“It’s
extraordinary that after over 20 years in the business we’re still
managing to exceed the work we’ve done the year before, especially
when you consider the current economic climate” said
Paul Kerr, CEO for SLH. “The
secret to our success is choice – put simply. With over 520 hotels
in more than 70 countries and multiple means of booking, we give
the customer the freedom to choose how, where, when and why. Our
Club is also a big part of the reason we have so much to celebrate
– this year our Club has accounted for 22% of our bookings, which
is significant compared to last year.”
The company added 63 new hotels to the SLH
brand in 2012 - 13 in the Americas, 17 in the APAC region and 33 in
EMEA. Some of these new hotels are in key areas such as Hawaii,
Israel, Galapagos, Japan, China and Nicaragua. The number of
hotels that belong to the brand is consistent with last year at
529 as the company has seen some departures as well, as SLH tries
to ensure a
dependable level of quality and service some hotels have been
disconnected from the brand due to quality or payment issues.
