The Hong Kong-based hotel and serviced apartment
provider, V Group, has expanded its portfolio to include the
group’s first fully-fledged hotel - V Wanchai˛.
The 79-room hotel
is located in one of the town’s most popular commercial and
entertainment districts at 139 Thomson Road, minutes away from the
Hong Kong Convention Centre in Wanchai.
“V Generation’s
properties are not a brand of homogeneously styled hotels and
serviced apartments, but each accents its own individuality,” said Ms Vivien Chan BBS JP, Founder & Chairman of the V Group of
companies. “It offers a fresh take on living-on-the-go for modern
travelers.”
Despite only been completed recently, V Wanchai˛’s interior
design has already been lauded for various awards including a Certificate of Excellence in Perspective magazine’s 2012 design
awards, and Excellence Certification in the 2012 Asia Pacific
Interior Design Awards.
The reception at V Wanchai˛ is decorated by an
abacus-inspired wall feature, contrasted by contemporary cast-iron
lighting. This leads out to an intimate terrace garden which
serves as a gathering place to enjoy the hotel’s
complimentary happy hour drinks and continental breakfast.
Room interiors showcase V group’s attention to detail. The
door of each room is custom-made and intricately etched with charming bird and flower carvings, creating an art gallery
corridor. These delicately carved motifs also appear on the headboard of each bed in V Wanchai˛. Each room is appointed with
hand-selected bedding and custom-designed furniture. Chinese
stools with marble tops bring additional texture and
highlights to the rooms.
V Wanchai˛ features 30
studio-style Luxe rooms, 10 Deluxe rooms of 600 sq ft, 26 Premium
Deluxe rooms of 510 sq ft and 13 spacious V Grand Suites of 740 sq
ft.
All rooms include TVs and audio systems, bath and rain
showers. Select rooms also provide wine coolers, and washers and dryers for those who
prefer to pack light. Guests are further taken care of through
access to a complimentary DVD library, high-speed wireless
internet and local calls.
“There is no standard ‘V’
experience, though each is refined, contemporary, youthful and
fun. We consciously create and develop the distinctive ‘V
Generation’ hotels and serviced apartments to suit the modern
traveler. However, one thing unites them all, and that is we are
committed to uncompromising service quality and delivery of the
highest standards to ensure we not only meet, but exceed
expectations when guests stay at ‘V’”, said Ms Chan.
To celebrate the opening of V Wanchai˛, from now
till 30 April 2013, upon check-in, all guests will receive a
bottle of French red wine in their room to welcome them to the ‘V’
experience.
