Frédéric Picard, 42, has been appointed as
General Manager of L’Apogée Courchevel in the French Alps.
Due to open on 11 December
2013, the luxury hotel is the latest addition to the Oetker

Frédéric Picard will join the property following his successful tenure as General Manager of Palais Namaskar during which time the hotel was awarded major
coveted awards including ‘Hotel of the Year’ 2013 by Harper’s
Bazaar, one of the ‘101 Best Hotels’ worldwide by Tatler Travel
Guide for 2013 and ‘New Build of the Year 2012’ by the European
Hospitality Awards.
To follow his path, Laurent Branover, 35, has
been appointed as General Manager of Palais Namaskar Marrakech.
Before joining the Oetker Collection, the French hotelier worked
as Hotel Manager for the award winning Raffles Singapore. His
career has also included: Hotel Byblos Courchevel, Sofitel Wentworth
Sydney, Shangri-La Singapore and Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo.
“We are very pleased and
confident that Frédéric Picard will achieve the same levels of
quality in Courchevel as he did in Marrakech. L’Apogée
Courchevel’s new General Manager will focus on the attention to
detail and service to appeal to our loyal city and resort guests,”
said Frank Marrenbach, CEO of the Oetker Collection. “Laurent Branover is an excellent manager
who has a great deal of experience with luxury hotels. Thanks to
Frédéric Picard’s cooperation, Palais Namaskar is a unique
masterpiece hotel which will continue to mature with Laurent
Branover’s contribution.”
