SpiceRoads Cycle Tours, one of Asia's premier
specialist bicycle tour operators, will exhibit its diverse
portfolio of bicycle tours in Asia and Eastern Europe at the UK
Cycle Show 2013 at the NEC in Birmingham, United Kingdom, between
26-29 September 2013.
The SpiceRoads booth will be located in the
Holiday Zone (H58).
SpiceRoads will be on hand to inform UK cyclists
the many advantages of bicycling in Asia, provide details of 23
holiday biking destinations and the 100 plus tours on offer in
many cycling styles, as well as the pros of joining an organized
tour and using an operator based in the region.

Details on
the upcoming ride with Sean Kelly, the legendary pro cycling
champion, from Bangkok to Phuket, Thailand, on 31 January -
7 February 2014 will also be available. This special road bike
tour is designed for cyclists that want to push themselves hard
each day and at the same time have an opportunity to ride with a
former professional cyclist. Hailing from Ireland, Kelly was one
of the most successful road cyclists of the 1980s, and one of the
finest classic riders of all time. From turning professional in
1977 until his retirement in 1994, he won nine monument classics,
and 193 professional races in total.
In conjunction with
the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in the UK, SpiceRoads
Cycle Tours will offer round trip flights to Thailand and a free
place on the Sean Kelly tour for the winner of a competition being
held at the Cycle Show.
In 2013 SpiceRoads Cycle Tour added
four tours in Eastern Europe - Albania, Georgia, Macedonia and
Montenegro - to its growing portfolio of tours. Mountain, road,
family and classic bike tours are offered in the following
destinations in Asia and Eastern Europe: Albania, Bhutan, Burma,
Cambodia, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Japan,
Laos, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Montenegro Nepal, Pakistan,
Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam.
SpiceRoads Cycle Tours is based in Bangkok, Thailand and has
been operating bicycle tours since 2003. SpiceRoads tours cater
for every level of cyclist and range from day-trips to complete
country explorations. Participants are invited to join tours with
fixed date departures scheduled throughout the year, while private
or tailor-made tours can be arranged for groups or individuals on
request. The professional operations set-up includes a fleet of
well-maintained mountain and road bikes and support vehicles. All
tours are led by experienced cycle guides.
In its 12th year, the UK Cycle Show
is set to showcase hundreds of bike and accessory brands, with
something for every type of cyclist. More than 25,000 people are
expected to attend on the public days from 27-29 September.
New features this year include: an elite road bike track with pro
riders on-hand to offer riding tips; a BMX park and freestyle
contest; a mountain bike demo track that includes rock gardens,
berms and jumps designed to give the latest mountain bikes a
proper testing; and an electric bike test track to try before you
buy.
