The 325-room Auberge Discovery Bay in Hong Kong has opened.

Long popular with expats living in Hong Kong, Discovery Bay is connected to the Central district by a regular fast ferry service that runs around the clock. The hotel is located at the northern tip of the 649-hecatre enclave, just 25 minutes away from the heart of the city.

Still in its early soft-opening phase, the hotel’s 325 rooms, restaurant and spa facilities are opening in phases and are expected to be fully operational by June. During the soft-opening period, the hotel is offering introductory rates from HK$ 990 plus 10% service charge.

Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong’s guestrooms include 64 suites and 40 ocean front suites with one, two or three bedrooms, ranging from 60 to 160 square metres.

Alfresco dining with a wide array of pan-Asian and international cuisines is available at Café bord de Mer, the hotel’s signature restaurant complete with an oceanfront terrace. Adjoining Café bord de Mer, The Bounty Bar entices with its relaxing vibe and inventive cocktail menu. For evening cruises and cocktail soirees, The Bounty, an European tall ship, offers the perfect opportunity to unwind against the stunning backdrop of Lantau.

Meeting facilities include a 700 square metre pillarless ballroom and seven multi-purpose function rooms. For weddings, Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong offers a seaside chapel.

Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong's Spa Botanica features 10 private treatment rooms with sea views, and offers a wide array of tantalizing health and wellness options.

For those seeking fun and adventure, the hotel offers access to some great leisure pursuits, including a 27-hole golf course, an expansive beach, a large outdoor swimming pool and proximity to some of Hong Kong’s best hiking trails.

Nearby tourist attractions include Hong Kong Disneyland, Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car and the Big Buddha, as well as the local treasures of Tai O Fishing Village and Peng Chau. The popular Tung Chung Citygate Outlets Mall is also just a short bus ride away.

“Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong is truly a unique hideaway retreat, both part of Hong Kong and yet worlds away from the bustle of Central,” said Anne Busfield, General Manager. “We hope to offer guests the best of both worlds in a stunning, natural setting, while adding an exciting new dimension to the very special community in which we operate.”
