Mark Meaney has been appointed as General
Manager of the 507-room Conrad Centennial Singapore.
Born in Ireland, Mark has
held several management positions in Japan, the United States of
America and Ireland in his 17-year hospitality career.
Mark is a
graduate from the Shannon College of Hotel Management in Ireland
with First Class Honours and a Higher Diploma in International
Hotel Management.
Prior to this appointment, Mark was Director of
Operations since July 2011 and Director of Food and Beverage from
February 2010 to June 2011 at Conrad Tokyo. During his tenure in Conrad
Tokyo, Mark spearheaded successful initiatives leading the hotel
to win the Conrad Hilton Award twice, in 2011 and in 2013 for
being the best hotel in the Conrad brand portfolio.
Before moving
to Japan, Mark was the resident manager of the Mount Juliet
Conrad, in Kilkenny, Ireland.
On his move to Singapore for the
first time, Mark said, “I am excited to be leading one of the most
pre-eminent luxury hotels in Singapore. The city-state is one of
the most sought-after destinations for business and leisure in the
region and I look forward to taking Conrad Centennial Singapore to
greater heights in this dynamic city.”
