Hogg Robinson Group unveiled HRG Insight, its
new interactive mapping and reporting tool, at the first day of
the Business Travel and Meeting Show in London.
The tool provides vital travel data such
as spend, personnel and high-risk areas, on an interactive map.
Designed, managed and implemented in-house by
HRG's dedicated team of experts, HRG Insight will allow users to
drill into their data graphically, so they can quickly and easily
see exactly where their travellers are, where they are going to
and where they have been.
Delivered as an online service, optimised for use on tablet and mobile devices, clients can access
their global data anytime, giving them the freedom to manage,
organise and make informed decisions about their travel management
programme.
The highly visual interface deployed in HRG
Insight is underpinned by a sophisticated database, which allows
users to capture pre and post travel data in one place for the
first time. This new functionality enables travel managers to
budget more efficiently by giving a single view of all forecast
and committed travel spend. HRG Insight's online report library
allows each user to set up a range of bespoke reports, such as
specific spend in a certain area or on a range of routes, and can
choose the date and frequency to suit them; they can also opt to
deliver a report to a group of users within their organisation.
HRG Insight's intuitive map analysis
presents travel data in a similar way to an airline route map,
allowing users to clearly and quickly see where their most popular
routes and destinations are. Users can also access at-a-glance
information on hotel data, according to location, whilst further customised functionality makes it easy to drill down to the most
granular level according to the precise information required. From
a security perspective mapping analysis also allows users to see
the locations of individual travellers and quickly identify
incidents or emerging situations that may place them at risk.
"HRG Insight is a flexible and adaptable
platform that gives us a sound foundation on which we can continue
to innovate and adapt to our clients' changing needs," said Nigel
Meyer, HRG's Group Technology and Data Services Director. "Data is now being used by decision makers
outside the sphere of travel management, including finance,
procurement and team leaders. HRG Insight has been designed to
deliver data in a way that accessible and easy to use for all
disciplines to ensure spend is wisely managed and personnel are
always protected. With growing needs for security, compliance and
cost control we now have the data and the platform to meet these
demands head on."
