Bartech Systems International, a company
that specialises in automatic profit-generating minibar solutions
for the global hospitality industry, has appointed Mario Agrario
as the company’s CEO.
In his new role, Agrario will now oversee
all global operations for the organization, including R&D,
manufacturing, sales and new business development strategies.
Agrario was one of the original cofounders of Bartech, and has
remained in top management positions with the company for more than 20 years. He has served as Bartech’s Americas division
president since 2005. Prior to that, he held the title of
corporate vice president of research and development for eight
years, as well as director of engineering systems in EMEA for
seven years. He has also held a position on Bartech’s board of
directors since 1991.
Agrario’s resumé places him
among the hotel industry’s foremost technological innovators.
Before cofounding Bartech, Agrario served as vice president of
research and development at Hexequip Co., and was involved in the
development of TV antennas, satellite systems, and internal video
and sound systems for the hotel industry. After the formation of
Bartech in 1991, Agrario began development of the world’s first
automatic open-display minibar. This invention was dubbed the
E-fridge, and the company’s first installation took place at the
Hilton Basel in Switzerland, launching a new era in minibar
operations.
“Bartech has perfected the automatic
minibar, using state-of-the-art technology to make it much more of
a profit center than hoteliers ever thought it could be,” Agrario
said. “Nevertheless, we will never stop innovating, continuously
unveiling new minibar concept prototypes while maintaining our
pledge to always work with our client hotels to deliver the design
and operational customizations that they require. As an R&D driven
CEO, I intend to keep pushing the envelope of design and
technology, always delivering advanced minibar products that
satisfy the needs of hotel guests and hoteliers alike.”
Bartech offers minibar clients fully
customizable designs, along with a choice of five methods of
central server communication between its automatic minibars and
the hotel’s property management system. Bartech’s automatic
minibars feature sensor technology that notifies the PMS when an
item has been removed, simplifying inventory control and reducing
theft.
“At Bartech, our mandate is to provide a system that
our customers can be confident in, always improving its ease of
use and guaranteeing profit and ROI through the minibar operation.
This type of promise is unparalleled in the minibar industry,”
concluded Agrario.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Las Vegas, he is fluent in
English and Italian, in addition to his native French.
