Several of Luang Prabangs most fascinating
properties are concluding the second quarter of 2012 under fresh
leadership now that the Apple Tree Group has named Axel de Boynes
its new operations manager for Laos.
With more than 15 years of experience in the
hospitality industry in Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle
East, Boynes takes over managerial responsibilities for Villa Maly,
Nava Mekong and Kamu Lodge.
A graduate of the Francois-Rabelais University
of Tours in his native France, Boynes began his career as Deputy
Director of Guest Services at Le Meridien Etoile in Paris, before
moving on to an Executive Housekeeper position at Le Meridien
Beach Plaza in Monte Carlo.
After stints at
two amazing five-star properties - Le Touessrok in Mauritius and the Sheraton
Doha in Qatar - Boynes relocated to Thailand to take on the role of
resident manager at the akyra Chura Samui, where he oversaw the
resorts development and launch in June 2011.
Since
arriving in Luang Prabang, Boynes has begun leveraging his
considerable expertise toward raising the profile of the groups
Laos properties among travellers and within the industry.
