Thailand's Centara Hotels & Resorts will soon
open its first stand-alone spa and restaurant properties in India
in collaboration with the Acron Group.
Centara's signature
wellness brand, Spa Cenvaree, and its three restaurant-brands,
Chili-Hip, Vibes and Zing, will form part of Acron Place, a US$10m
wellness, restaurant and retail lifestyle centre in Candolim, Goa.
"We are delighted to be collaborating with Acron in
our entry into India's hospitality and wellness industry, and we
are confident of the tremendous future potential for both
companies in hotel and spa developments across the country," said Suthikiati Chirathivat, Chairman of Centara Hotels & Resorts. "Goa
presents the perfect lifestyle destination to commence our
operations in India. Spa Cenvaree has been enormously successful
in all its in-hotel locations, and we are convinced that this is
the right time and place to introduce authentic Thai spa and
wellness experiences in India, in a stand-alone property. Our
three restaurant brands will delight guests with a superb blend of
Asian and international cuisines and the gracious service that Thailand is famous for."
Amar J Britto, Acron
Group's CEO, added, "Acron has specialized in high quality
residential, commercial and hospitality developments since 1988.
Following collaborations with renowned Indian and US chains for
our hotel properties in Mumbai and Goa, we are excited about the
launch of this new partnership with the Centara Hotels & Resorts
of Thailand. We believe that, in time, both our companies will
achieve great heights and strengths in India's burgeoning
hospitality and wellness space."
