Hertz Australia has launched Hertz Rent2Buy, an
online car sales program offering well maintained, late model
vehicles at competitive fixed prices, often lower than RedBook’s
suggested retail values for used cars.
Hertz Rent2Buy offers
prospective buyers the opportunity to take a three day test drive,
which is then provided as a free rental if the car being
test-driven is purchased.
All car sales include a 90-day, 5,000-kilometre limited warranty, and full service history.
The test
drives are offered at locations in Victoria, New South Wales and
Queensland.
Michel Taride, President of Hertz International,
said, “Hertz's Rent2Buy program offers a smarter, hassle-free used
car buying program with low, no-haggle pricing and a three day
‘try before you buy’ option. Hertz Rent2Buy has proven to be
highly popular with savvy used car buyers; since launching in the
US, we've sold many thousands of cars online. We are pleased to
bring this exciting program to customers in Australia so that they
can also benefit from well-maintained used cars at extremely
competitive prices and with a full service history.”
Customers can have full use of their preferred
vehicle for up to three days and those who wish to proceed with a
purchase then keep the car and pay the listed price, with the test
drive included for free. If the customer decides not to buy the
car, it is returned to the renting location and the transaction is
treated as a standard rental, with rates starting from A$66 per day for up to three days.
Chris Rusden, Region Vice President Managing
Director of Hertz Australasia. “Hertz Rent2Buy eliminates the
stress and uncertainty of car buying. The cars are hand selected
from our large fleet of late model rental vehicles, all of which
are removed from the fleet after 12-18 months. Our cars undergo
regular maintenance, and are cleaned and checked after every
rental. We keep comprehensive maintenance records on our cars
unlike many individual owners. In addition, customers have a
unique, three day test drive option to determine if the vehicle
suits their needs and lifestyle. If you're looking to buy a used
car, it's tough to beat the Hertz Rent2Buy program.”
