Ms. Nopparat Aumpa has been appointed as General
Manager of the Banyan Tree Bangkok.
Ms. Aumpa’s managerial career began in
1996 when she joined The Westin Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok,
Thailand, as an Assistant Manager in the Front Office department.
At the start of her tenure at Banyan Tree
Bangkok, she demonstrated strong hospitality skills with the
outstanding achievement of the Thurston Dupar Inspirational Award
in the same year. The following year, she received another award,
Service of Legend.
Furthering her exposure in Banyan Tree Hotels &
Resorts and building up senior leadership skills, she was a key
member of the opening team which launched Banyan Tree Ringha,
China in July 2005, and Royale Hayat Hospital, Kuwait in October 2006.
She also managed the Double Pool Villa construction at
Banyan Tree Phuket when she was appointed Executive Assistant
Manager–Rooms, from 2005 to 2007, before being appointed as the
Hotel Manager for Angsana Bintan from 2007 to 2009.
Following
that, she was part of the core pre-opening team for the Banyan
Tree Mayakoba in 2009, before going on to open Banyan Tree Samui
and become its Resident Manager from 2010 to 2012.
Ms. Aunmpa also had a
short stint as part of the pre-opening team at Banyan Tree Tianjin
in July 2012 to implement the Banyan Tree Host Concept at this new
urban resort.
Due to her strength in people development skills,
she is also one of the facilitators at Banyan Tree’s Talent
Management Programme.
Ms. Aumpa is a Bachelor of
Arts graduate from Thammasart University in Bangkok, Thailand, as
well as Bachelor degree from Thammasat University, Faculty of
Liberal Arts, majoring in History, and minor in English. She also
has a Certificate of Education in the Professional Development
Program from Cornell University School of Hotel Management in New
York, USA. She is fluent in English, besides the Thai language
which is her mother tongue.
She was born in
the Sukothai province of Thailand.
