Kevin Doyle, who has been the face of
international sales and marketing for Hertz in the Australasian
region, responsible for inbound business and outbound sales to all
regions globally, will retire tomorrow, Friday, 31 August 2012.
The company has appointed Claire Flack to
the new role of Manager, Travel Distribution, Australia and New
Zealand.
For almost two decades, Kevin has been the key
Hertz representative at major tourism events including the
Australian Tourism Exchange, New Zealand’s Trenz, the USA’s Pow
Wow and the Corroboree events organised by Tourism Australia for
the North American and European markets.
Ms Flack joins Hertz Australasia from London,
where she has been Director of International Leisure Sales for
Millennium and Copthorne Hotels since 2009 after serving as Travel
Distribution Manager UK for Hertz Europe from 2005-2009.
Effective immediately, Ms Flack is
responsible for online and wholesale travel partners in both
inbound sales for Hertz in Australia and New Zealand and global
outbound sales from both countries.
“Since 1989, Kevin has been responsible for
attracting overseas visitors to rent vehicles from Hertz in
Australia and New Zealand,” said Chris Rusden, Region Vice
President Managing Director of Hertz Australasia. “Kevin’s passion
and dedication to both his role and his customers and the respect
and admiration he has won over the years are testimony to his
achievements, and I wish him the very best in his next phase of
life.”
“Claire brings to Hertz Australasia a strong background in travel industry sales and marketing and I am
delighted that she has joined our sales team,” he said. “Her
experience in the UK and Europe, including with Hertz, will
contribute not just expertise in our region but continuity of this
key role.”
