Dusit International has appointed Sergey Kutuzov,
a Russian national, as Director of Sales - Russia and Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS), and New Zealand native, Dorinda Chua, as
Director of Sales – Meetings and Incentive Travel.
Both are now based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Sergey Kutuzov began his
hospitality career in his native Russia, with the Kempinski Grand
Hotel Europe St. Petersburg before assuming increasing responsibility in a number of management roles in Russia and the
Middle East, leading to his most recent position as Assistant
Director Sales and Marketing, Starwood – Sheraton Dubai Creek
Hotel and Towers.
Sergey was educated at St. Petersburg
State University, Russia, and is fluent in his native language and
English. He is also conversant in French and Arabic.
In his
role as Dusit International Director of Sales - Russia and Eastern
Europe he will be responsible for driving sales and increasing
brand awareness in one of the company’s most important markets.
Russia is now already the 6th largest tourism source market
globally, and the number one European source market to Thailand,
with 19% year on year growth in 2012.
After extensive
training, Dorinda Chua began her impressive hospitality career in
Auckland, New Zealand, as Business Development Manager with the
CDL Hospitality Services. A series of similar positions led to her
acquiring more than 10 years of hospitality and tourism industry
experience, from New Zealand and Australia and a special expertise
in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE),
corporate and leisure segments.
Prior to joining Dusit
International, Ms Chua’s most recent position was Director of
Sales & Marketing, Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers.
She graduated
in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Marketing and Human
Resource Management.
