[HD video below]
In this HD video interview with Ms Titiya Chooto, General Manager,
of not only the Four Seasons Chiang Mai, but also the Four Seasons
Tented Camp Golden Triangle in Chiang Rai, Thailand, we take a
look at how these two hotels in the North of Thailand are doing.
We discuss how business has changed in the last
few years, which markets are increasing and how the hotels are not
only targeting those markets, but also accommodating them.
You
will learn what the only Four Seasons Tented Camp in the world is
all about, how much it costs, why there is a minimum stay and how
you can get there. We also ask whether Four Seasons is going to open more
"Camps".
We discuss the Chiang Mai hotel,
which for many years was the only true 5-star luxury brand in the
city but which has, in recent years, been joined by other big
names in the luxury hotel sector. We ask how the hotel has managed
to stay viable and whether it created a price war, when these new
hotels entered the market.
On top of all that we discuss what
there is to do in Chiang Mai apart from the well know Doi Suthep
and Night Market, how tourism can develop, when you need to bring
with a jumper or even a jacket and much, much more.
Ms. Titiya is an amazing woman. Not only is she
the first female General Manager of a Four Seasons Hotel here in
Asia, but I believe she is also the first woman to be General
Manager of two Four Seasons Hotels at the same time! We will have
many more interviews with Khun Titiya, as she has some exciting
plans for both resorts, which we just did not have time to get
into with this interview.
