Best Western International has opened a new
hotel in the Bavarian Alps.
Located in Oberstdorf, close to Germany’s border
with Austria, Best Western Plus Hotel Alpenhof offers 61 rooms and
suites with wide balconies and terraces offering breathtaking
views across the Alpine countryside. All rooms also come equipped
with complimentary Wi-Fi.
During the summer, the Panorama Restaurant offers a south-facing
terrace with stunning vistas across the surrounding hills.
In
winter, when snow coats the landscape, guests can relax in the
cozy fireside bar and lounge, which includes a library.
Health and fitness is a key element of the hotel, with a
500m² wellness complex including a large swimming pool, Finnish sauna, steam room, infra-red sauna, relaxation rooms, gym, sun
terrace and a lawn for sunbathing. Additional wellness offerings
are available in the hotel’s beauty and massage departments.
“I am
delighted to be able to introduce such a stunning new property to
the Best Western portfolio,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western
International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia &
the Middle East. “Best Western Plus Hotel Alpenhof is a prime
example of how far our brands are progressing in the international
market. This stunning Alpine retreat is a fantastic addition to
our new upscale Best Western Plus collection.”
Famed for its annual ski jump competition, Oberstdorf
offers a range of winter sports including downhill skiing,
cross-country skiing and ice-skating. It is also home to some
stunning mountain golf courses.
The addition of the
Best Western Plus Hotel Alpenhof adds to Best Western’s collection
in the Alps, which currently includes the Best Western Plus
Berghotel Rehlegg in Berchtesgaden and Best Western Hotel Obermuehle
in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
