Malaysia Airlines has mounted 55 extra and 9
upgraded flights between Kuala Lumpur and Medan, Indonesia, as well
as selected cities within Malaysia to meet the increasing air
travel demand during the forthcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
These flights, offering an additional total
capacity of 10824 seats, will be operated from 16 to 28 August
2012.
Among the key Malaysian cities to enjoy the
extra flights will be Kota Kinabalu (8 flights/1666 seats) and
Kota Bharu (5 flights/736 seats).
A further additional capacity of
402 seats is available through the upgrade of existing 3 flights
between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.
In the case of Kuching,
six flights will be upgraded to provide an additional 771 seats.
The Kuala Lumpur-Medan services have been
increased to 15 times to accommodate the increasing demand from
those who have planned to return home to be with their families
during the Aidilfitri holiday period.
