FCL Appoints Karen Cooke as Corporate Marketing Leader

Flight Centre Limited (FCL) has appointed Karen Cooke to the role of Corporate Marketing Leader.

Karen will oversee the marketing activities for FCL’s suite of corporate brands including FCm Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, Stage and Screen Travel Services and Campus Travel.

Karen will have a specific focus on the marketing output of FCL’s flagship global business travel brand FCm Travel Solutions and will be working closely with FCm’s Global Brand Leader Gregory Lording and FCm’s international team of corporate marketers.

As corporate marketing leader Karen will be responsible for managing FCm’s worldwide marketing strategy, global and national level marketing, communication and public relations activity. She will also drive the ongoing development of FCm’s global website capabilities, marketing collateral and ensure FCm has strong involvement in peak industry forums and events.

Karen has a wealth of travel marketing experience. She joined FCL in May 2004 and is one of the company’s longest serving marketing employees and marketing leaders.

Most recently Karen fulfilled the role of Marketing Manager for one of FCL’s leading retail brands Escape Travel, where she was also the key contact for maintaining relations with FCL industry partner the Wiggles. During her career with FCL, Karen also spent time as marketing manager for luxury travel brand Travel Associates and prior to joining FCL she managed marketing activities for the small-to-mid business market for a major Australian financial institution.

Karen said she was excited to be taking on a global role for FCL and moving into the corporate travel space.

“I’m keen to continue the strong focus on our corporate brands, which have been performing very well over the past few years. Marketing plays an important role in helping to raise the profile of our brands globally and drive new business growth with compelling initiatives that deliver real value to our clients,” Karen said. “I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career here at FCL and relish the challenge of a globally focused role with plenty of scope for change and development.”
