Just weeks after launching its
first hotel in
Kuala Lumpur, Best Western International has unveiled plans to
open a second property in the Malaysian capital.
Located in the
affluent residential, commercial and entertainment district of Bangsar, in the west of Kuala Lumpur, the newly signed Bangsar
project will form an integral part of the Bangsar Trade Centre
complex.
This six-tower commercial park is home to a vast array of
office space, retail stores, a 45,000sqf convention centre and a 385,000sqf of Food & Beverage and Hospitality wholesale mall.
The new project, expected to open in 2015, will join
the midscale Best Western collection and feature all the comfort, convenience and excellent service for which
Best Western is famous
across the world.
The 378 rooms and suites will include a range of
modern facilities including flat-screen satellite TVs,
complimentary internet access, rooftop swimming pool, premier
lounge and four food and beverage outlets with a private access to
sky lounge, an intimate dining and bar area.
Guests will also be
able to take advantage of the fast connections to the city center
via the Light Rail Transit (LRT), from Kerinchi station which is
located within Bangsar Trade Centre.
“The news of our second hotel in Kuala Lumpur, coming
so soon after the opening of our first, is proof of the great
faith Best Western has in the Malaysian hotel industry,” said
Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.
“Best
Western Premier Dua Sentral in Kuala Lumpur has already
received tremendous feedback from our guests and the local
community, and we are confident that our new hotel in Bangsar will
receive positive feedback when it opens.”
Best Western International currently operates four
hotels in Malaysia, offering more than 800 rooms in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Pangkor Island. This portfolio
is expected to expand rapidly over the next few years, rising to
