Chan Brothers Travel, one of the largest leisure
travel agencies in Singapore, has selected Amadeus Mobile
Traveller to provide it with a fully integrated mobile application
supporting pre-trip, in-trip and post-trip travel needs.
Mobile technology is transforming the
future of air travel. Global smartphone subscriptions stood at 6
billion at the end of 2011 and are estimated to reach
approximately 7 billion by 2015, with 65% of those users in Asia.
In Singapore, the mobile penetration rate stood
at 149.6% at the end of 2011, making the city-state one of the
highest in mobile phone ownership in Asia.
Amadeus Mobile Traveller
is a white label, mobile application designed for travel agencies
in Asia Pacific that will allow travellers to:
• plan and
book trips; • check itinerary and flight status; •
synchronise with their calendars; • access destination
information; and • through social media integration, share
their experiences on-the-go from their smartphones.
Anthony Chan, Group Managing Director and CEO, Chan Brothers
