Ms. Mariam Karim has been appointed as Director
of Catering & Conference Services at The St. Regis, Atlanta,
overseeing all corporate, conference and social celebrations on
the property.
Ms. Karim brings a wealth of knowledge to her
position with over 12 years of experience in the luxury hotel
sector.
After graduating from George Mason University,
Ms. Karim made her first foray into the hospitality industry with
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide as Catering Coordinator at The
Westin Georgetown in Washington, D.C.. Ms. Karim then transitioned
to Catering Sales Manager at the historic Willard InterContinental
Washington, where she enjoyed a five-year tenure. Ms. Karim later
moved on to positions at The St. Regis Washington, D.C. and Four
Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C. where she refined and honed her
management and leadership skills in the luxury market.
Most recently, Ms. Karim served as Director of
Catering at W Washington, D.C. where she was individually
nominated for “Director of Catering of the Year” in 2011.
The AAA Five Diamond St. Regis Atlanta
boasts a wide array of impeccably appointed indoor and outdoor
event spaces including the Astor Ballroom, Grand Terrace, John
Jacob Astor Boardroom, and Vanderbilt, Rockefeller and Carnegie
meeting spaces.
At the helm of all event operations, Ms.
Karim works in tandem with General Manager Mr. Senih Geray, and
Food & Beverage Director, Mr. Robert Brandenberg.
