Louvre Hotels Group has extended its central
reservations system (CRS) agreement with Pegasus Solutions for
another three years.
The global chain, which uses Pegasus’ RezView
NG under its private label Goldres3 platform for its Tulip Inn,
Golden Tulip, and Royal Tulip brands, has also tapped Pegasus for
mobile app development, MetaSearch Services, and the recently
announced TravelSky connection to drive bookings from China.
Louvre Hotels Group operates more than 1,100
hotels under six affiliated, franchised and managed brands,
including Premičre Classe, Campanile, Kyriad & Kyriad Prestige,
Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip, all of which currently
operate on Goldres3. The latter three brands originally
implemented RezView NG in 2010, while Louvre has a more than
decade-long relationship with Pegasus.
“Since
Louvre Hotels signed with RezView NG, we’ve expanded the RezView
suite to include a comprehensive set of merchandising tools, built
from the ground up to compete in today’s evolved shopping
environment,” said Connie Rheams, senior vice president, strategic
sales for Pegasus Solutions. “Louvre Hotels was in the right
place, having already migrated to RezView NG, to tap these tools
that will immediately address the areas where we’re seeing hotels
scramble to compete – mobile, meta-search and China.”
RezView NG allows Louvre Hotels to centrally
manage content and rates for all channels.
As an enterprise delivery platform, it enables hotels to easily
integrate RezView’s additional capabilities, like mobile or business intelligence through RezView Intelligence, to become more
competitive.
“Pegasus has provided real account
management and innovation to Louvre Hotels,” said Riko van Santen,
vice president of distribution for Louvre Hotels Group. “They are
equally motivated to see our business grow, adding new and
relevant global channels that we can add seamlessly without having
to touch an offline channel. With connectivity to TravelSky, we
access a network that powers 70% of China’s international air
travel market.”
Mobile app development through
RezView Mobile, will allow Louvre Hotels to design downloadable
native applications for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets
while still maintaining centralized content and rate management.
MetaSearch Services creates the opportunity to capture direct
bookings from metasearch results by displaying and linking
directly to hotel information, rates and availability.
The
TravelSky connection will make Louvre Hotels’ more than 80,000
rooms in 40 countries available for booking in China through
TravelSky Technology Limited, China’s state-owned global
distribution system (GDS).
“China’s emerging middle
class is driving hotel rates higher in Europe by sheer volume,”
added Rheams. “In becoming the first European customer to leverage
Pegasus’ live connection through TravelSky, Louvre Hotels will
gain a tremendous advantage in driving Chinese outbound travel to
Europe.”
