[HD video below] Air Astana is to launch a new scheduled service
between Astana and Omsk in Russia from 16 July 2012.
Flights to this major Siberian industrial and
transportation centre will be operated by Fokker 50 twice weekly
on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Flight KC279 departs from Astana at 07:55,
arriving in Omsk at 10:30 local time. The return flight KC280
departs from Omsk at 11:30, arriving in Astana at 12:00 local
time.
Two additional weekly frequencies operated by
Embraer 190 on Thursdays and Sundays will commence from 1
September 2012.
“Omsk becomes Air Astana’s seventh
destination in Russia, with existing services already operating to
Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Samara, Kazan and
Yekaterinburg. This new service will significantly boost business,
cultural, educational and tourism links between the two cities and
provide convenient onward connections to Air Astana’s growing number of domestic and international destinations served out of
Astana and Almaty,” said Dmitriy Kaparulin, Regional General
Manager, Russia and CIS. “Passengers on the new service will enjoy
Air Astana’s Skytrax 4-star award winning service, with frequent
fliers also benefiting from membership of the Nomad Club.”
