The Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, has launched an elite category for its Caravelle Heritage Club (CHC) members.

Earlier this month, the Caravelle opened the new Signature membership to all current CHC members holding a minimum of 10,000 points or 60 qualifying nights.

The upgrade to Signature membership covers all benefits of CHC Basic membership such as F&B discounts and early check-in, late check-out, in addition to new offers:

- Complimentary birthday e-dining voucher for two at Reflections Restaurant
- Complimentary one room category upgrade (subject to availability)
- 10% discount on hotel laundry
- 10% discount on airport transfer
- 33% bonus on the original points accumulation rule, from VND 20,000 to VND 15,000 for one point

Some 2,100 individual travellers have joined the CHC since it was introduced in January 2010. One in four of CHC's members hail from either Singapore or the United States, with each country evenly represented. About 10% of members are from the UK, and travelers from Australia and Vietnam make up the next largest groups.

“When a guest has shown up at your reception desk more than 100 times, he or she deserves the red-carpet treatment,” said John Gardner, the hotel’s general manager. “We want every part of their experience with us to be enhanced by this new membership.”

Signature members will need to stay at the Caravelle a minimum of 30 nights per calendar year to maintain their membership category.
