OnAir has expanded its network of completion
centers with the addition of Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) specialist
PATS Aircraft Systems.
The first joint project is the installation of
Mobile OnAir on a Boeing 737-900ER BBJ, due for delivery in the
first half of 2013.
“The list of our completion center partners is
growing by the month, making it easier and easier for business jet
owners and operators to equip their aircraft with our inflight
connectivity technology,” said Ian Dawkins, CEO of OnAir. “We aim
to choose those with particular expertise and skills to suit the
needs of this market; in this case, PATS Aircraft Systems is one of a handful of designated BBJ Service Centers. As you’d expect,
the VIP market is an early adopter of inflight connectivity:
business never stops, so VIPs have to remain in touch at all
times, including during flights.”
John Eichten, SVP for Sales & Marketing at PATS Aircraft Systems,
said,
“We are seeing a high demand from VIP jet operators for inflight
connectivity. PATS prides itself on finding innovative and industry leading
ways to satisfy our customer’s requirements and our partnership
with OnAir is a good example of that. As a supplier of products
and services to all aircraft OEMs, PATS also has a distinct
culture focused on customer service, a value which OnAir also
exemplifies through in-service support of our collective customers
worldwide.”
