Carsten Fritz has been appointed General Manager
of Sharq Village and Spa in Doha, Qatar.
In his new role, Mr. Fritz is responsible
for all aspects of the resort’s operations, including financial
performance, guest engagement, employee development and brand
recognition.
A German national and hotel veteran, Carsten
Fritz has worked with Ritz-Carlton during the past ten years
in various functions and countries. Prior to this appointment, Mr.
Fritz held the position of General Manager at The
Ritz-Carlton Abama, a 471-room hotel. There, he led a team of more
than 450 people and implemented total quality
management, which improved market share for the property and
elevated guest satisfaction ratings.
He was General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Sharm El
Sheikh since 2009, The Ritz-Carlton Country Club, Seoul and Hotel
Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Mr. Fritz has
also had various managerial positions at The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka
in Japan and The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, Jamaica.

began his professional career with Kempinski in 1990 at the Hotel
Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich and has also worked at The Kempinski
Mansion in Bangkok, Hotel Gravenbruch in Frankfurt and Hotel
Atlantic in Hamburg before beginning his career with The
Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 2001.
