[HD video below]
At the recent JATA Tourism Forum and Travel Showcase that took
place in Tokyo, Japan, TravelNewsAsia.com had the opportunity to
speak with Nia Niscaya, Director of International Tourism
Promotion of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative
Economy.
In the HD video interview which can be seen
below, Steven Howard asks Ms. Niscaya about the status of the
Indonesian tourism industry, whether targets are being met in
terms of visitor arrivals, what those targets are, how important
the Japanese market is to Indonesia, and how that market in recent
years has evolved and developed.
We also ask which areas of Indonesia the
Ministry of Tourism is looking to promote the most, how low cost
airlines are helping to boost tourism to destinations other than
the traditional Bali and much, much more.
