Carlson has opened the 260-room Radisson Blu
Hotel Liuzhou.
With the addition of this property, Carlson now
has 11 hotels in China with over 3,500 rooms. Radisson Blu Hotel
Liuzhou will be the company’s seventh Radisson Blu hotel in China.
Radisson Blu
Hotel Liuzhou is located in Liuzhou’s central
business district, just minutes away from the railway station and
a 20-minute drive from Liuzhou Airport. The hotel lies 90 minutes from the Guxiang hot spring and
just over two hours from Yangshuo.
“Our Asia Pacific growth strategy is focused on
emerging economies and China is a key market for Carlson,” said
Simon C. Barlow, president, Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific. “The
opening of Radisson Blu Hotel Liuzhou brings us one step closer to
doubling our Asia Pacific portfolio from 72 to 150 hotels by 2015.
We are delighted with the debut of the Radisson Blu in Liuzhou,
the second largest city in the Guangxi region. We are confident
that it will set the benchmark for world-class hospitality in a
city that is witnessing a growing number of international and
domestic visitors.”
Rooms at the hotel feature local design elements
and the suites provide a panoramic
view of the Liujiang River. The hotel also has over 900 square
meters of meeting space, including a 630-square meter ballroom and
four multi-function meeting rooms. All of the meeting rooms are
equipped with the latest technology and amenities that make these
spaces ideal for both business and social events.
The
hotel has multiple dining venues to cater to different guest
preferences. Globe Restaurant is an all-day dining restaurant
offering a range of international and local dishes. Ju Long Xuan
offers Cantonese cuisine and Scoozi is the first premium Italian
restaurant in Liuzhou. Apart from the lobby bar Zest, 26 Bar on
the rooftop offers nice views and is ideal for business
networking.
Winston Chien, vice president, Carlson Hotels,
China, said, “With 27 Radisson Blu hotels in
operation in the region and 33 more in the pipeline, Radisson Blu
is the fastest growing hotel brand in Asia Pacific with its
first-class accommodation and vibrant hospitality. We are seeing
increasing interest from hotel developers and owners in China,
which is a reflection of the strength of the globally expanding
Radisson Blu brand and Carlson’s expertise in managing successful
hotels.”
