Daydream Island Resort and Spa has appointed
Phil Casey as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Casey has 20 years’
experience in hotel and resort management including four years as
Daydream’s General Manager, during which time he helped transform
the Whitsundays resort into an award-winning island destination.
Mr Casey has worked in various four and five star operations
across the nation including the Carlton and Stamford Hotel Groups.
“What was achieved at Daydream Island during 2003-2007 remains
the highlight of my career and my goal is to ensure Daydream operates at its full potential,” Mr Casey said. “I want
Daydream to be the destination of choice in the Whitsundays and am
fully committed to leading the product and our team to even bigger
and better things.”
Mr Casey’s interests include property
development and renovations and competing in international ironman
triathlons. He also maintains an interest in cattle property
operations in south west Queensland.
The
Daydream Island Resort and Spa, located in Queensland’s tropical
Whitsundays, offers 296 rooms and suites,
a Rejuvenation Spa, over 20 free guest activities and
a unique man Living Reef lagoon where guests can touch baby sharks
and de-barbed stingrays.
