After completing an extensive renovation, The
Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai, has opened the doors to its new
ballroom and function rooms.
The renovation commenced in December 2010 and
took over the entire third and fourth floors of the hotel,
occupied by 11 meetings rooms, a ballroom and a business centre
which encompasses a total area of 5,400-square meters.
Improvements include installing the latest video conference
technology, state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, Wi-Fi
internet access, new amenities and contemporary décor featuring
Asian influences with modern Chinese artworks.
Manfred
Weber, General Manager of The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai,
said, “We are excited to reintroduce our new ballroom and event
venues in Shanghai as part of our mission to continuously seek
opportunities to innovate and improve the Ritz-Carlton experience. The renovation has been inspired by the overwhelming interest in
the region for top quality event venues and facilities; such
demand is exciting for the Shanghai events, meetings and wedding
market. The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai is proud to be able to
continuously innovate and provide such multi-functional venues for
Shanghai and international event organizers alike.”
