Air China, a Star Alliance member, is to start
offering direct rotations between Beijing and London Gatwick from
2 May 2012.
The flights, CA851/2, will be operated on Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with A330-200 aircraft.
The flights will depart
from Beijing at 01:35 and from London Gatwick at 13:15.
The new
services mean that Air China will operate to both Heathrow and
Gatwick airports.
Air China has a fleet
of 290 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, and operates 289 routes - 73
international, 14 regional, and 202 domestic - serving a total of
142 cities, including 43 international, 4 regional and 95
domestic, in 30 countries and regions.
