Asiana Airlines is to implement the Amadeus
Altéa Customer Management Solution to manage its domestic and
international reservations, inventory and departure control
operations.
Asiana’s migration to the Amadeus Altéa Customer
Management Solution is due for completion by 2013.
Over 372 million passengers travelled on airlines using
Amadeus Altéa in 2010 and there are over 110 airlines contracted
for Amadeus Altéa, with over 95 having already been migrated.
Asiana joins
16 other Star Alliance members using Altéa, including ANA and THAI
who recently selected Altéa, the Star Alliance Common IT
Platform.
Kwang Hee Ryu, EVP, Commercial-Passenger Asiana
Airlines said, “We have been studying our
passenger service system requirements over the last few years and
determined that the Altéa suite was the perfect solution to meet
our future needs. Altéa offers an impressive range of functions
that will allow us to enhance our passenger management processes
and respond more efficiently to customer needs whilst also
enabling closer integration with other Star Alliance members on
the Altéa platform.”
Asiana Airlines is already a customer of
Amadeus e-commerce solutions using Amadeus to power its website
booking engine.
