Air Tahiti Nui has reported a 34% increase in
sales revenue from the Australian market for H1 2011.
With solid
passenger numbers already being generated from Sydney and
Melbourne, the airline is confident of even more growth in coming
months, with the introduction of seasonal interline connections
between Brisbane, Auckland and Tahiti.
“Tahiti is one of the world’s most romantic and
idyllic destinations. Who doesn’t want to go there?” said Mark
Hutchinson, General Manager Australasia for Air Tahiti Nui.
“The combination of the strong Australian dollar and a series of
attractive packages from key wholesalers have made the destination
even more appealing. And from October
excellent connectivity with both Qantas and Emirates on the
Brisbane-Auckland route will make it easier to travel from
Queensland to Tahiti. Both carriers’ flights link perfectly with
our Auckland – Papeete services.”
From 30 October 2011 until 22
March 2012, flights from Brisbane with both partners will arrive
in Auckland at 14:35, connecting with Air Tahiti Nui’s A340-300
aircraft departing to Tahiti at 15:50.
Air Tahiti Nui
currently offers two departures each week from Sydney, on Sundays
and Thursdays. Flight TN2102 – a codeshare service operated by
Qantas –connects in Auckland with Air Tahiti Nui flight TN102.
Flights cross the international dateline, and arrive in Papeete at
21:55 the previous evening. Return services depart Tahiti on
Wednesdays and Saturdays, arriving in Sydney late afternoon every
Thursday and Sunday.
Melbourne customers also enjoy convenient
year-round options to and from Tahiti on the same days, flying
with either Qantas or Emirates direct to Auckland to connect with
Air Tahiti Nui’s Papeete flights.
