Visitor arrivals to Singapore registered 16.1%
growth to reach 963,000 in November 2010, the highest number of
arrivals recorded for the month of November.
Visitor days were estimated at 3.5 million days,
a year-on-year growth of 13.7% in comparison with
November 2009.
Indonesia (176,000), Malaysia (100,000), P.R.
China (94,000), India (73,000) and Australia (64,000) were
Singapore's top five visitor- generating markets in November 2010.
These markets accounted for 53% of total visitor arrivals for the
month.
In November 2010, India (+46.3%), Hong Kong SAR
(+45.3%), and South Korea (+41.8%) registered the highest growth
out of the top 15 markets.
Average Occupancy Rate posted a 3.9
percentage point increase over November 2009 to reach 89% in
November 2010. Average Room Rate increased by 10.5% to reach an estimate of Sin$220.
RevPAR increased
by 15.6% to reach Sin$195 in November 2010.
