Alan Porteous Joins Romana Resort & Spa Mui Ne as GM

Absolute Hotel Services has appointed Alan Porteous as General Manager of the Romana Resort & Spa Mui Ne.

A native of Australia, Mr. Porteous joins the hotel with over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He first established his career in accounting and finance with different hotels and resorts.

Over the years, he rose up the ranks to become general manager of several premium resorts including Iririki Island Resort, Vanuatu, The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa, Cook Islands, Mobys Beachside Retreat, Boomerang Beach and Peppers Balé Resort, Port Douglas.

Prior to joining Romana Resort & Spa Mui Ne as general manager, he owned A Tropical Nite in Port Douglas QLD which he bought in 2008 and used his extensive experience to quickly turn the business around and present it to the market for resale enabling him to move back into the management role.
