Frasers Hospitality has officially opened the
Fraser Suites Suzhou. Set in two 55-storey towers topped with a
multi-faceted diamond, Fraser Suites Suzhou is an iconic landmark
in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), a Singapore-style industrial
township set up and run by the China and Singapore governments.
The iconic towers were developed by
Hong Kong-listed SPG Land, which recently opened the Peninsula
Shanghai on the famed Shanghai bund.
With 276 exclusive apartments, Fraser Suites
Suzhou occupies one of the two towers in the development.
Each apartment offers state-of-the-art electronic security and the
latest technology for work and play; including wireless and
broadband internet access, telephone with voicemail, advanced
climate control, complete home entertainment system with LCD
television, DVD player, audio system as well as satellite and
cable networks.
Residents also have access to a business
centre and The Retreat, as well as leisure amenities that include
a private garden, golf simulator, tai chi court, children’s play
zone, swimming and hydrotherapy pools.
“Fraser Suites Suzhou is truly a gem,” said Mr
Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers. “It is the
tallest and most prestigious building located in the heart of
Suzhou Industrial Park; surrounded by key businesses, yet in close
proximity to leisure and entertainment facilities and the
beautiful JinJi Lake. The ‘diamond’ that tops off the building
features a Sky Lounge, cigar bar, billiards room and meeting rooms
with a magnificent panorama of the city and the rest of the park
below.”
Suzhou is today one of China’s top
foreign direct investment destinations and Suzhou Industrial Park
has more than 3,000 multinational corporations with utilized
foreign direct investment of over US$15.9 billion. Singapore
companies have also been flocking there; the Suzhou government
announced that it has signed more than 30 agreements with
Singapore companies worth over US$1.6 billion.
