Asian Business Aviation 2012 is already gearing
up to once again be at the heart of strong market growth in both
China and the rest of Asia.
This economically dynamic region has
proven to be an energising source of new business for corporate /
private jet manufacturers at a time when traditional markets in
Europe and the United States have been deeply impacted by the
prolonged effects of global recession.
The fourth annual Asian Business Aviation show
will return to Macau on 24 and 25 May 2012, and will again
attract a large number of visitors from amongst delegates also
attending Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia), the region’s premier
gaming event.
In recent years, Macau has eclipsed Las Vegas as the
richest gambling market in the world. Attendance at G2E in 2012 is
expected to exceed the previous record of more than 4,500 gaming
professionals, including owners of casinos, cruise ships and
gaming clubs. Many of these very wealthy individuals and highly
profitable ventures are already customers for business / private
jets, which are regularly used to fly “high-rollers” into Macau
and other major gaming centres across the region.
With
5,300 visitors and 22 aircraft on static display at Asian Business
Aviation 2011 in Hong Kong, the show is one of the must-attend
events in
the region. Business aircraft participants including Airbus, AsiaJet, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream, Hawker Beechcraft, Metrojet, Pilatus and TAG Asia all reported a high
quality of visitor traffic at their aircraft, hospitality chalets
and stands.
In Asia, airlines are also buying business jets; a
new industry trend which was perfectly demonstrated on the opening
day of the show, when Hainan Airline Group announced an order for
five Gulfstream G450/G550 aircraft and five Dassault Falcon 7Xs
for business jet subsidiary Deer Jet, together with an order for
two VIP configured Boeing 787s for its Hong Kong Airlines
subsidiary.
“Whilst the effects of recession are still
lingering in many parts of the world, Asia continues to roar ahead
with unmatched rates of economic growth. Associated corporate
success and individual wealth accumulation are key drivers to the
demand for Business and Private Jets, with Asian Business Aviation
destined to be right at the heart of the action for the long
term,” said Brian Thomas, Vice President Aerospace and Gaming,
Reed Exhibitions. “Only Asian Business Aviation has delivered a
solid track record of success to the business aviation industry
across the whole region.”
Following Asian Business Aviation
2012 in Macau, the show will return to Hong Kong alongside Asian
Aerospace on 19-21 March 2013.
