To celebrate the Singapore Polo Clubs 125th
anniversary, as well as the historical connection between
Singapore and Britain, InterContinental Hotel Singapore is giving
its support to the British Polo Day Singapore, which will be held
in the country for the first time on Saturday, 19 November 2011.
The British Polo Day, which features roving international
matches of high-profile Polo teams, aims to promote the heritage
of the game of Polo in every country it travels to, as well as to
further strengthen and bridge cultures.
Like the Singapore
Polo Club, the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand, which has
presence in more than 60 countries with over 60 years of
experience and growing, has a strong connection with Britain,
said Tash Tobias, General Manager, InterContinental Singapore.
The British Polo Day Singapore is a great platform for us to
highlight an important part of our rich InterContinental heritage.
The
InterContinental Singapore will be providing F&B hospitality
support for the British Polo Day Singapore players and VIP guests,
as well as accommodation to the British Army Polo team.
Highlights of the British Polo Day Singapore include key matches
between the British Army Polo and the Singapore Polo Club for the Land Rover Cup; and between Eton and Harrow for the Pelham Bell Pottinger Trophy. Other attractions throughout the day include a thrilling show jumping display, a glamorous Champagne reception on
the Polo Club Terrace, a VIP lunch, a charity auction and raffle draw, a traditional BBQ at sundown, and dancing late into the
evening with a DJ.
To share the fun, InterContinental
Singapore is giving away three sets of prizes, each valued at
Sin$650, and which comprises a pair of picnic tickets to the event
and one nights accommodation at the hotels newly refurbished Shophouse rooms.
The InterContinental Singapore contest ends 15 November 2011,
17:00 (GMT+08:00).
