Canadian Jazz singer Kate Bowen, one of the most
in demand vocalists, is performing at the Metropole Hanoi until 29
February 2012.
Sultry and alluring, Kate Bowen's voice never
ceases to captivate her audience. She flawlessly translates the passion of the song,
taking the listener on an emotional journey. Her melodies are memorable, as is her stage presence and her ability to connect
with her audience.
A master of soul, R&B, funk, blues, folk and
pop, Kate's voice is unbelievably adaptable to each genre,
sometimes intimate and inviting, while other times, powerful and
commanding.
Kate’s
passion for music and singing was nurtured at a very young age. In
her early 20's, she was signed to a record label in the United
States, where she worked on her own album and wrote songs for
other singers. During her time living in the US, she regularly
worked for OmnyPro, and through them she performed at the famous
Apache Club in Atlanta, Georgia & Sugar Bar in New York.
Back in Toronto, she was a regular act in several of the most
popular live venues in the city, performing with her band in
places such as, Joe Mamas, Revival Club, Supermarket, Lounge,
Li'ly, Lava Lounge, Dazzling, N'Awlins.
With a maturity
belying her youth, an outstanding charisma and poise on stage,
Kate Bowen started to be a sought-after vocalist in her hometown
in Canada, doing recording sessions with the best musicians and
producers and receiving international work offers from the most
prestigious brands.
In 2010, Miss Bowen was invited to
perform for several months at the iconic luxury Peninsula Hotel in
Hong Kong.
Those in Hanoi can visit Le Club - “Hanoi’s very own house of
Jazz” and savour Kate’s distinctive vocals every night from
Tuesday to Sunday, 20:45 onwards.
